Red and NIR
Light Therapy

Light therapy, a form of photobiomodulation (PBM), works by exposing the body to low-level, specific wavelengths of blue, red, and near-infrared (NIR) light. This light is absorbed by the mitochondria in our cells. Mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cell that are responsible for energy production. Stimulating the mitochondria results in a boost of production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the primary energy source for cellular activity and regeneration. This increased energy can lead to various benefits.

Our Devices

Celluma Contour

This device from Celluma is a FDA-cleared light therapy device that has 4 different modes, each mode with different wavelengths of light that target specific concerns. The 4 modes are acne, anti-aging, pain management, and contour. It has a shape-taking design that allows for close, targeted treatment. This device is FDA-cleared to treat: acne, wrinkles, arthritic pain, muscle spasm, muscle and joint pain, muscle tissue tension, inflammation, micro-circulation, and body contouring. The Celluma will make a great addition to any of our other services offered.

The Celluma Contour is only available at our Beauty Lounge KC location.

PlatinumLED Biomax 900

This Biomax 900 from PlatinumLED is a FDA class II medical device. Platinum LED is a leading pioneer in the light therapy industry. This device is able to emit higher irradiance output compared to similar devices, leading to deeper penetration and increased power. It also has a wider spectrum of red and near infrared (NIR) wavelengths, allowing for multiple applications.

The BIOMAX 900 lights are only available at our Magnolia Clinic location.
